Stretch Hood Film, also known as Stretch Hood or Cold Stretch Hood Film, is a tubular elastic plastic film with a heat-sealed top. It is stretched horizontally at room temperature before being applied over a pallet load. This advanced packaging technology replaces traditional shrink hood and stretch wrapping by covering the top of the load and using the film's elastic recovery to tightly secure the pallet without the need for heat.
The film features high tensile strength, with both machine-direction (MD) and transverse-direction (TD) elongation exceeding 100%. It offers excellent puncture resistance, tear resistance, and strong biaxial elasticity, ensuring outstanding load stability and secure packaging. Stretch Hood Film provides numerous advantages, including low material cost, reduced packaging expenses, high transparency, attractive appearance, safe operation, non-toxic and odorless performance, and improved packaging efficiency. It effectively protects products from dust, moisture, and contamination while enhancing overall package stability.
Stretch Hood Film enables a highly efficient pallet protection system that is fully compatible with existing packaging solutions such as shrink hood systems. Compared with traditional shrink hood packaging, it significantly reduces unit packaging costs while improving pallet load integrity throughout transportation from the factory to the end user. Thanks to optimized film thickness and stretch ratios, less material is required per pallet, resulting in additional cost savings and improved packaging efficiency.
The film offers exceptional clarity, making it ideal for branding, barcode scanning, and quality control, while adding value throughout the supply chain.
